Company Profile
Metals Exploration plc (AIM: MTL) is a gold production, development and exploration company with a portfolio of assets in the Philippines and Nicaragua. The Company's flagship producing asset is the 100%-owned Runruno gold mine in Luzon, Philippines, which has been in continuous production since 2016 and remains debt-free, generating strong free cash flow that funds the Group's growth pipeline. In Nicaragua, the Company is constructing the La India Gold Project, a high-grade, low capital-intensity development targeting average production of approximately 145,000 ounces of gold per annum over a mine life of over 12 years, with first gold production targeted for December 2026. La India benefits from a substantial 2.3Moz resource at 3.9 g/t Au.

The Company has continued to build out its growth pipeline during 2026, most recently securing exclusive rights to explore, develop and operate the Batong Buhay porphyry copper-gold project in Kalinga Province, northern Luzon, Philippines, through agreements with the Philippine Mining Development Corporation and the local Balatoc (Kalinga) indigenous community. Regarded by the Company as one of the most advanced undeveloped porphyry copper-gold targets in the Philippines, Batong Buhay is supported by significant historical drill intercepts and a non-JORC historical resource estimate, with a modern exploration and drilling campaign planned to commence in the second half of 2026. Together, Runruno's cash generation, La India's near-term production growth, and the exploration optionality at Batong Buhay and across the Company's wider Nicaraguan and Philippine tenements position Metals Exploration as a self-funded, multi-asset gold and copper-gold developer with a clear pathway to significant near- and medium-term growth.
